December 21, 2009 – Have Your 2009 Taxes Done for Free! – Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers help individuals and families file their taxes for free. English. Spanish.
December 10, 2009 – Arizona Saves 2009 Annual Report is Completed – The 2009 Annual Report provides Arizona Saves’ mission and vision, information about the work that the organization has done, and workshop participation demographics for the year. Some highlights include: 117 volunteers served approximately 4,000 hours instructing financial education workshops to 3,661 Arizonans this year – a 138% increase in service hours from 2008! Read.
December 2, 2009 – 31 New Crisis Budget Instructors Trained – Assistant Director, Jennifer Quillin, trained 31 new volunteers how to instruct Arizona Saves’ Crisis Budget and Taking Charge of Your Credit workshops. The instructors are now equipped with the skills to teach families how to make radical adjustments to their budgets in order to withstand financial crisis.

September 10, 2009 – Arizona Saves Awarded AHEAD Grant – the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco has approved Arizona Saves for the AHEAD grant of $25,000 to help residents avoid foreclosure through Crisis Budgeting Workshops.

August 14, 2009 – Wells Fargo Grants $30,000 to Arizona Saves – The Wells Fargo Foundation on behalf of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage approved a $10,000 grant for Arizona Saves’ Crisis Budgeting Program. Read.
August 6, 2009 – Bank of America Grants $75,000 to Arizona Saves – The Bank of America Charitable Foundation donated $75,000 to Arizona Saves,a non-profit organization offering free financial education workshops… Read.

May 18, 2009- Comerica Bank Sponsors Financial Education Workshops -Comerica Bank is the first financial institution to sponsor an Arizona Saves series of workshops. Their generous donation supports financial education in Phoenix's Sunnyslope neighborhood. Comerica also donated 5 iPods that will be raffled at the workshop! Thank you Comerica Bank. View

May 13, 2009- Arizona Kids Save Volunteers Make an Impact with Foster Kids! - ArizonaSaves would like to congratulate Bank of America volunteers for their outstanding service. They have provided 16 workshops to 98 teenagers at six different foster homes in the Phoenix area so far in 2009. Charles Stayton of Arizonans for Children applauds their service, stating, “the program is nothing short of an essential step in the road toward financial responsibility.” Read
